International Dance and Performing Arts Program in the Algarve
A summer trimester totally dedicated to the investigation of creative processes, movement technique, sharing of individual and collective work in a performative context, in which we will dynamize creative laboratories, with international and national artists, in Lagos – Portugal.
Aimed at emerging young people, creators, professional dancers, dancers, artists, actors, movers, performers, circus artists with or without professional experience, nurturing a genuine curiosity and interest in the performative and artistic creation.
Free scholarships available for professionals and scholarships for young people up to 18 years old, interested in the performing arts.

AORCA SUMMER LAB comes from Seadance programs developed since 2018.
2021 is year 0 of the AORCA SUMMER LAB program designed to boost, value and develop artistic creation in contemporary performing arts.
In order to support and promote emerging contemporary creation, AORCA created a program of 7 creative laboratories in contemporary dance and 3 in other performative arts ( from 5th July to 17th September) with invited international and national artists. Aimed at emerging creators, professional artists, artists in the process of professionalization, art students who are attending an artistic secondary education aged +16 and non professionals with experience and interest in performative arts.
Goal:
To provide young dancers, experienced dancers and non professionals with experience to develop their artistic and creative skills into performance and creation, continuously updating themselves and to increase one’s awareness in order to dive into emerging contemporary creation.
We are pleased to give scholarships, 3 for professional and new emergent artists and 2 for <18 years old nurturing interest into performatic arts.
